Cbeyond is committed to developing deep relationships with the communities it serves. Its community program, Cbeyond Community Connections™ is a volunteer service and networking program core to the company's culture.
Cbeyond Community Connections enables Cbeyond employees to engage in networking events to connect with small businesses to better understand their communication and IT needs. Employees are also encouraged to give back to the communities where they live and work by participating in community service projects. More than half of Cbeyond's executive team hold non-profit Board positions, and many of its employees are volunteer leaders within their community.
Participating in more than 400 monthly events, Cbeyond is involved in a variety of organizations ranging from chambers of commerce and industry associations to Rotary Clubs and Kiwanis organizations. The company is committed to supporting the business communities that have helped build Cbeyond into the organization it is today.
Cbeyond gives each employee eight hours of paid time off annually to volunteer with a non-profit organization of their choice. To coordinate volunteer projects, the company partners with the Hands On Network and its affiliates in all of its markets. Cbeyond also has more than 322 local community partners.
In 2007, President Bush honored Cbeyond with the esteemed Presidential Volunteer Service Award, gold level, recognizing the 4,474 volunteer hours Cbeyond employees donated to community service in 2006.
